This page controls
when students can sit the EASE Growth adaptive test. Each academic year has three
windows (Term 1 / Term 2 / Term 3). A student can only start a session while a window is
open
and the current time falls between its opens and closes dates — so a window left
open past its
term keeps the old term showing as active across the network.

The academic year shown on new windows comes from calendar_settings/current (set in
Academic Calendar → Year Settings) — this page does not define the year itself.
Opening a new term does not close the previous one; close the old window explicitly.
